Sunday Morning While Considering a Decisive Moment
"Every woman that prayeth or prophesieth
with her head uncovered dishonoureth her head."
I Corinthians
11:5
W hen the Apostle Paul decreed that a woman cover her
head when at worship, he could not have imagined the flamboyance with
which African American women would comply. For generations, black
women have interpreted this edict with boundless passion and
flair.
Experience
the cherished tradition of dressing up for the glory of God, a
convergence of faith and fashion that keeps the Sabbath both holy and
glamorous. Enjoy the social documentary photography of Carl Clark
from his Sunday Morning Women series, complemented by a
dazzling collection of bold, intricately crafted church hats by
distinguished designers from Atlanta, across the U.S., and Nigeria.
